A right circular cone is inscribed in a right prism as shown.  If the right prism is a cube of side length \(15\), then what is the volume of the cone?

The volume of a cone is 1/3hπr²

 

The height is 15 and the radius must be 7.5.

 

Substituting these values in the formula gives 

 

1/3*15*π*(7.5)^2

 

This gives approx. 883.57
