Hi travisio.  I haven't been given a formal medical diagnosis that it's genetic, but I'm certain that it is.  My father had diabetes and so do my two sisters.  I think that's pretty conclusive.  It's Type 2 which means I don't have to take insulin, but rather keep it under control with diet, exercise, and medicines.  I'm fair to pretty good with the diet part, and horribly neglectful on the exercise part, but I never forget my meds.

Oof I turned 13 six months ago and I got nothing for my birthday. There was a math contest on my birthday and I didn't even know it was my birthday until my teacher told me lol.

 

I hope when I turn 14 I will get something. My parents owe me three years of birthdays XD
