Note that  the triangle  on the left  is  a 30-60-90  right triangle

The side opposite the 30°  angle  = 1

The side opposite the right angle is twice this  =  2

And the triangle  on the rigth is also 30-60-90

The side opposite the 30° angle = the hypotenuse of the first triangle

"x"  is oposite the 60° angle and is √3 times as long as the side opposite the 30° angle

So

"x"    =   2√3

Both triangles are 30-60-90

Let the  hypotenuse of a smaller triangle be a Y

Y = 1 / cos(60°) = 2

X = 2 / sin(30°) = 4   wink

the answer is 4 because in the smaller triangle the hypotenuse is twice 1 so it is 2. In the larger triangle the hypotenuse is twice 2 so 2 times 2 is 4 so x=4.
