Exponential form

If I have e^{4pi*i/3} - e^{5pi*i/6}, how would I solve that? Like how do I subtract? I'm only used to head to tail addition

Roots of Unity

So I have a problem regarding roots of unity.
I have that |z|^n=1 and |z+1|^n=1.
I'm supposed to find the exponential form for the possible values of z.
For the first one, I got with both k and lire plus ..

When I tried that, I got (1-2sqrt(3))+(sqrt(3)+2)i. How did you simplify futher?
