To find area, we need the radius of the circle. The radius of the red circle is 1/2 of the diameter 1, which is 1/2. The radius of the blue circle is 1/2 of the diameter 3, which is 3/2. The area of the red circle is (1/2)^2pi=1/4pi. The area of the blue circle is (3/2)^2pi=9/4pi. However, the blue area is 9/4pi-1/4pi=8/4pi=2pi. So the ratio fo the blue area to the red is 2pi:1/4pi=8.

Oh okay thank you, it helped me. For finding area of circumcircles and incircles, then you would just use the circumradius and inradius formulas to the find the radius, and continue on with the circle area formula correct?

Well the number should be in the form 15x+5 where x is any integer. It has to be the least five digit positive integer. The smallest one is 10000 so we form an inequality.

15x+5>=10000

15x>=9995

x>=666 1/3

We round 666 1/3 up to 667. Substtute 667 into 15x+5 to get 10010.
