negative sign is identical to the minus sign.
Example: \(-5+1\)<-- in this case the '-' is the negative sign and the whole thing means 'negative 5 plus 1'.
Example 2: \(x - 5\) <-- according to some basic knowledge, this '-' is a minus sign and the whole thing means 'x minus 5'.
Just remember 1 thing. Minus signs cannot go in the very front while negative signs can. :)
