when solving: x^2 - x, wouldn't the whole thing cancel out?
That does NOT 'cancel out' ....can yo give mor information?
x^2 - x = x (x-1)
It's just part of a rational equation i am doing and i was wondering if it would just turn out to be zero or just x
sorry, i'm at the point of combining like-terms and it's
x^2
-x
____
oh wow it just came to me, i'm sorry. I'm just being an idiot...
thanks for the help!
I assume you mean x^2-x=0
x2−x=0Divide by x
x−1=0
x=1
