if a television has a length of 28 in and a diagonal that measures 32 in, what is the height of the television set to te nearest tenth?

You can find the height of the screen by using the Pythagorean theorm; c2=a2+b2 where c= 32, a= 28 and b= the height (h). Then we get 322= 282+h2  =  1024= 784 + h2​ subtract 784 from both sides

240= h2​ then take the square root from both sides and then you have your answer; h= 15.4919333848296675
