The supplement of an angle is \(36^\circ\) less than twice the supplement of the complement of the angle. Find the measure of the supplement.

And of course, good luck!

Let x deg be the measure of the original angle

Measure of the supplementary angle = (180 - x) deg

Measure of the completmentary angle = (90 - x) deg

\((180 - x)^{\circ}=2(180^{\circ}-(90^{\circ}-x^{\circ}))-36^{\circ}\\ 180^{\circ}-x^{\circ}=180^{\circ}+2x^{\circ}-36^{\circ}\\ 3x^{\circ}=36^{\circ}\\ x^{\circ}=12^{\circ}\\ (180-x)^{\circ} = (180 - 12)^{\circ}=168^{\circ}\)

The supplement is 166 deg. :D
