You don't need to find x and y
Link the diagonals of the square from the top right corner to the bottom left corner
x^2 + y^2 is just the length of the line you draw squared.
The length of the diagonal is just the diameter of the circle
Therefore length of that diagonal = 5 * 2 = 10
Therefore x^2 + y^2 = 10^2 = 100 :D
