Hectictar is correct of course but the question is very badly worded becasue this is the equaton of 

\(y=(x-2)^2+6\)

Which has an infinite number of solution pairs.

BUT

\(0=(x-2)^2+6\)       has no solutions

ok but have you understood or even tried to understand any of the reasoning I have given you so that maybe you can get it right next time?

One  known value is    

y= 2.55 when x=100

I have told you that    y= 0.016x + something 

y= 0.016x+b

so

Sub in your known values of x and y to find out the value of b

                          (which is the y intercept or the cost of prinint irrespective of the number of pages.)

2.55 = 0.016*100 +b

Now you can solve this to get the missing b value.

It is the x that has changed. I mean x has been repleaced with 9.2x so it is a horizontal compression.

You even have a hint here. The word compression is used. Compressions imply smaller. Which imples a number between 0 and 1.

Anyway multiplying x by 9.2 compresses the graph by 1/9.2 = 5/46       

5/46 is a approximately 0.11 I tell you this so you can understand the graph. 

You can see that   (1,0) has compressed to (0.11,0)

The costs (y) are going up by 0.80   andthe pages (x) is going up by 50

so the gradient is     rise /run = change in y/change in x  =  0.8/50   = 0.016

so

y= 0.016x + something 

Substitute any of the known values into the equation to find what that something (b) (yintercept) is.

Check by subing in a different pair and checking that it works.
