Very interesting question. No high level maths required.
This question was posted a couple of days ago.

I think it is really interesting. It looks much more difficult than it really needs to be.

Some guidelines for question askers.
Please note:
1) Ask only one question per post.
2) When asking a question talk about what you have tried for yourself. Then people will take you more seriously and will be more able and willing to help.
3) If you get an answer

complete the square: y=x^2-6x+7
I am not certain of what you are bieing asked to do but this is what I would assume
subtract 7 off both sides
y-7 = x^2-6x
The x co-efficient is -6
(-6/2)
2
= 3
2
= 9
add 9 to both sides
y-7+9 = x^2 - 6x +9
y+2 = (x-3)

Not sure but this is what I think
Part One = INT[SQRT(Plaintext)]
Part Two = Plaintext – {INT[SQRT(Plaintext)]}^2
-------------------------------------
If plain text = 28 then
sqrt28=5.29...
INT(5.29) = 5 (I assume INT stands for integer part)
28 - (5squared) = 3
--------------------------------------
If plaintext = 123456 then
sqrt123456 = 351.36...
INT(351.36..)=351
123456 - (351squared) = 255
--------------------------------------------

whats the ratio of 4.63 to 8,21 in fraction form
4.63:8.21
463:821
This can be transformed to 463/821 if you just want to use it in most maths problems but
I think it is more correct to say
463/(463+821) = 463/1284
I happy to hear more thoughts on this.
an example
There are 3 boys and 5 girls in a room
The ratio of boys to girls is 3:5
The fraction of the children that are boys is 3/8

The container that holds the water for the football team is 1/4 full. After pouring 10 gallons of water, it is 2/3 full. How many gallons can the container hold
2/3 - 1/4 = 5/12
So 5/12 of the container is 10 gallons
One method
1/12 of the container is 10/5 gallons
12/12 of the container is (10/5)*12 = 24 gallons
another method
Let the total be X gallons
5/12 * X = 10
Mult both sides by 12 and divide both sides by 5 and you get
X = 10*12/5 = 24 gallons
