You are not quite correct.

a and b does not NECESSARILY equal 4 and 17. It can be any multiple of the numbers.

Slope is the ratio of the vertical distance to the horizontal distance.

Precautions:

- Do not take an approximate value for pi or there would never be pi in your final answer.

- Do not take approximate value if you see something like $\csc(x+y)$ or something like $(x+y)^{-5}$. You know they are reciprocals.

Summary: Do not take approximate value and you get things done. Seriously.
